A Volunteer-Run, Non-Profit Collaboration

The IFS Canadian Community Conference (IFSCCC) is a non-profit, volunteer-run initiative led by IFS therapists and practitioners across Canada. Our sole purpose is to design and host Canada’s national IFS gathering—starting with the online conference in 2026 and building toward an in-person event in 2027.

  • IFSCCC is an Ontario-incorporated not-for-profit organization. We are a volunteer-run community initiative governed by a Board of Directors.

    Our commitments

    • Clarity about leadership: We list our Board members and roles so the community can see who is accountable for decisions.

    • Transparency in how we operate: We aim to communicate clearly about major decisions that affect participants, presenters, and the wider community.

    • Conflicts of interest: Board and volunteers commit to acting in the best interests of IFSCCC, disclosing potential conflicts, and stepping back from decisions where a conflict may exist.

    How decisions are made
IFSCCC is governed by its Board. Spending and key operational decisions are reviewed and approved through our internal governance process, with attention to fairness, accountability, and the realities of a volunteer-run organization.

  • IFSCCC is committed to responsible, practical stewardship of conference funds. As a volunteer-run initiative, our goal is to use funds in service of the event and the long-term sustainability of future community gatherings.

    How funds are handled

    • We track income and expenses, maintain supporting records, and reconcile activity through our bookkeeping process.

    • Spending is reviewed and approved through our internal governance process.

    • We plan to share a simple year-end summary (high-level categories) so the community can see how funds were used.

    What registration revenue supports (high-level)

    • Event platform and technology costs (e.g., registration, online systems)

    • Payment processing and service fees

    • Conference operations and administration

    • Accessibility supports where feasible

    • Planning and seed costs for future IFSCCC gatherings

Please note that platform and processing fees may apply to registrations and are part of the cost of delivering an online event.
